A comfortable cabin attached to a highly versatile, smooth riding van. Offered with a choice of 2 fuel efficient Euro IV diesel engines, the Peugeot Expert demonstrates impressive levels of performance and drivability. The high power 2.0-litre 120hp model we drove is capable of delivering a peak torque of 225Nm at 2000rpm, suitable for both local and long distance operations, and is equipped with an ultra-clean Diesel Particulate Filter System (DPFS), reducing emissions to their lowest levels.
Peugeot is well known for its car-like high standards of ride and handling, and this model did nothing to disappoint. The Expert remained steady and responsive whilst carrying a load, with good manoeuvrability on corners and in built up areas, including an impressive turning circle. The rear parking aid and the small window within the bulkhead also proved invaluable when reversing the vehicle.
The cabin has an airy, roomy feel due to its high seating position, large windows and windscreen, and the small pane of glass within the bulkhead which allows you visible access to your load. The driving seat is particularly comfy due to its ergonomic design that guarantees excellent body posture and optimal comfort during long periods of driving. The dash mounted gear stick creates more floor space whilst the large door pockets, big over-windscreen storage shelf and multiple cup holders create ample storage for day-to-day essentials. Additional options for added comfort included air con, cruise control, speed limiter and a rear parking aid.
Standard Safety features:
• Driver airbag
• ABS with EBA
• Height adjustable seatbelts with pretensioners and force limiters
• Anti-submarine seat design
We drove the long wheel based version of the Expert which made it slightly less practical for urban use but increases the load volume by 1 cubic metre. You can still park the Expert on a meter and get into almost all multi-storey car parks, providing they are the standard 1950mm height limit. The large, twin-sided loading doors provide easy access to your load which is really handy if you’re working in confined areas. The rear doors open to 180 degrees and the Expert can handle loads to a maximum of 1450mm high and an increased load length of 332mm to 1586mm.
Versatile, comfortable and stylish in looks, the Expert is easy to manoeuvre and won’t cost the earth to ensure.
