About
TechFold is a North American web technology & business review and commentary site. The goal of this site is to provide insightful technology commentary from a perspective outside that of the usual A-list tech commentators, and to provide a forum for web/tech/business discussion.
TechFold aims to be respectful and mature in coverage, but also bold and fresh with a “tell it like it is” approach. In reviewing sites, TechFold’s approach is to provide realistic assessments and constructive criticism. Reviews on TechFold may not always be glowing, but nor will they be senseless bashing.
There’s only one person at TechFold, that’s me - Rod Edwards. I’m in Winnipeg, Canada. I’m not an investor, a VC, or a startup guy. I’m a serial web dabbler with a number of goofy one off projects out there that have never amounted to anything. I have a great day job at a major financial institution which exposes me to a lot of strategic thinking and analytical methodologies.
I’m a longtime lurker on various tech sites and a blogger at WorldChanging/Canada. With TechFold, I (finally) decided to bring together my love of tech and the community, the analytical bent I get from my job, and what proficiency I have in writing and take a stab at tech commentary.
