I have 6 Pownce Invites

I have (apparently) 6 Pownce invites. I asked to join the beta and was accepted a week or two ago, but haven’t had a chance to even try out the service yet.

A little discussion has been going on on the bradsucks site about this, which is where I heard about it. For all the cool things it can do, it still looks like a social networking site at the heart of it. I’m not a luddite, but I’m thinking of converting. I really can’t keep track of all the social networks I’m on already. Email isn’t perfect, but at least it’s ubiquitous. I joined up for Virb because it’s like a not-ugly MySpace, but I only have two friends. I hope you don’t think I’m being a whiner, Rod because I keep coming back to see whatever new thing you’ve got for us, so I’d like to see a future post on how it’s working for everybody.

No worries, Project D. I’m not even on Facebook, and I don’t really imagine making much use of Pownce either: I get all of the social networking I can handle just through blogging.

But - like you say, its still interesting to follow.

I’m out of invites, btw!
